On Friday, May 3, 2019, Access Wealth proudly hosted its second Financial Planning Day for 12 William Paterson University Cotsakos College of Business students who are majoring in financial planning.
The students spent most of the day with different members of the Access Wealth team, who educated them on a “day in the life” of a financial planner. They shared the firm’s philosophy and emphasized how financial planning is about more than numbers; it’s about helping people and building relationships. They also discussed the different types of professionals and firms that exist in the industry to help students weigh their options as they seek out internships and eventually enter the workforce. Representatives from Charles Schwab and PGIM also contributed to the day. The students asked great questions and left feeling more knowledgeable and excited about their future careers.
The advisors and support staff at Access Wealth are committed to giving back to the community every way they can. Hosting students in their office, sponsoring a finance intern, speaking with the media, and teaching in adult schools are just some of the ways they fulfill this professional promise. In addition, many of the Access Wealth team members can be found volunteering their personal time to a variety of causes that are important to them.
